In the early stages of the universe there was dust and it was extremely hot. Nothing was created yet only clouds of dust and energy. Then matter started to come together with the help of gravity and over time it cooled off. Planets, asteriods, and stars starting the beginning of their lives. Creating solar systems and galaxies. Then as the first giant star ended its life and gravity took over and crush the core of the star. That matter came together in to a singularity and created a black hole. Black holes have no known life span so is seen to last forever. The black holes that formed in the early universe are now known as super massive black holes that are normally found in the center of galaxies. To compare it to our sun, super massive black holes are 14 billions times bigger than our sun.
